2023-24 PTA Board Members

The PTA Board is actively recruiting Board Members for the 2024-2025. Open positions are President, President Pro-Tem, Fundraising. See below for details about what each position entails.

President: Amy Haddad

OPEN FOR 2024-2025: The President serves as the presiding officer of the Local PTA and presides over executive board and membership meetings. The president directs the affairs of the association in cooperation with the other members of the executive board for a term of one year.

President Pro-tem: VACANT

OPEN FOR 2024-2025: The President Pro-tem is the President in training. Your job would be to “shadow” the current President in order to take over as PTA President the following year. You would fill in for the PTA President in meetings or other assigned appearances as necessary–including the role of Secretary in PTA meetings if needed. Your job would be to learn from the current president so that you could assume the presidency the following school year. During your second year, you would train the next President Pro-tem.

VP Communications: Debra Schaffer

The VP of Communications is responsible for disseminating PTA information via a monthly newsletter.  You would also be responsible for maintaining and updating the PTA Website. In addition, you would  serve as the admin on the RPES PTA Facebook page. The VP of Communications is also responsible for recruiting members via Ritchie Park families and faculty to join the PTA. You would report the membership to the county and state PTA associations as appropriate and required.

VP Programs: Mihaela Biro

The VP of Programs works with the school, PTA board, and subcommittees to plan, organize, and implement programs throughout the school year. Before the school year begins, you would develop the annual program calendar with estimated budgets, and present it to the Principal and PTA for adoption. VP of Programs oversees and delegates volunteer recruitment for implementing and running programs. You would be responsible for reserving the school’s fields and/or rooms for all programs held at the school. This is done on the CUPF (Community Use of Public Facilities) webpage.

VP Fundraising: Natalie Gorman

OPEN FOR 2024-2025: The VP of Fundraising is the primary person responsible for setting fundraising goals and organizing and implementing all fundraising activities at the school.

Secretary: Krystal Putman-Garcia

The Secretary is responsible for recording and reporting the minutes of the monthly PTA Executive Board meetings and the monthly General Assembly PTA meetings. The Secretary is responsible for filing all of the meeting documents. You would also be responsible for knowing and enforcing the current PTA bylaws.

Treasurer: Tina Morrison

The Treasurer is responsible for managing the Ritchie Park PTA funds. The Treasurer is responsible for the disbursement of funds authorized by the PTA president and Executive board according to the PTA budget.  The Treasurer presents a transparent summary of the PTA funds at PTA Executive Board meetings and General PTA Meetings. The PTA budget is maintained by the Treasurer.
