How to help those affected by the fire last week

From the Mayor:

Thank you to all of our community partners for your generous support during this tragedy. As, most of you may know, Friday Fireside Part Apartment located in Rockville, MD had a three alarm fire,33 families have been displaced. Fireside Park Apartments are owned by RHE.

The outpouring of support and generosity that the community has shown is unexplainable.

People are still looking for ways to help support those in this effort…

RHE WILL BE TAKING DONATIONS FOR THE VICTIMS OF THE FIRESIDE PARK APARTMENTS FIRE. YOU MAY DROP OFF YOUR GENTLY USED ITEMS TO THE DAVID SCULL COMMUNITY CENTER AT 1251 FIRST ST, ROCKVILLE MD 20850 FROM 12-3PM.

ITEMS NEEDED: TOILETRIES, CLOTHING, BEDDING, BASIC HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES.

We also need volunteers to help receive, sort and transport donations.
